Hospitality Series
In the past few months, we have welcomed many first-time guests to our church! Its so much fun to see new faces and new families! Thank you for inviting your friends, family, and co-workers to worship with us. Our church family is focusing on growing our hospitality this fall. Paul taught, “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality” (Romans 12:13). You will be blessed by taking on Paul’s challenge of practicing hospitality with us in September. Here are five suggestions to get you started: Invite another family to do something just for fun, intentionally come to the other worship service than you usually attend, serve with our Hospitality Team to create new welcome baskets for community newcomers, serve with our Greeting Team on Sunday mornings, plan to start conversation with someone you do not yet know in church, or step into one of our Sunday School classes if you’ve not yet connected to a class. Connecting with a small group is important in growing deeper with God and in connecting to others. Also, we are beginning to pray about forming new groups during evenings or Sunday mornings, especially for ages 20s-30s and 30s-40s. Please let me know if you are seeking to connect with a small group or, perhaps, a new group experience. Share your stories and experiences if you choose to take Paul’s hospitality challenge this fall! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
